FAQ
Small. We recommend sizing up. Our fits are cut closer to the Colombian standard, which runs leaner than US sizing. If you're between sizes, or used to American swim brands, go up one.
Every product page has a size guide, with measurements taken from the suit laid flat. When in doubt, compare to a swimsuit you already own and love.
XS through XL. Collection UNO is small batch. We made 15 pieces per design. Once a size is gone, it's gone.
Size up. Always. Marea has memory and holds shape, so a slightly looser fit will still feel snug. A too-small suit cannot be fixed.
Double-lined for coverage and structure. No padding, because you don't need it. The lining gives you a clean silhouette and a little extra hold without the bulk.
Austin, Texas. Every US order goes out from our home base.
The US for now. International is coming. If you're outside the US and you want a suit, write us at hola@bahiablues.com and we'll figure something out.
Yes, on every US order. Tracking lands in your inbox the moment your suit leaves us.
Orders ship within 2 business days and arrive in 3 to 5.
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return or exchange. Suits must be unworn, unwashed, with the hygienic liner intact and the tags on. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving the return.
Yes, as long as the hygienic liner is still in place and the suit is unworn with tags on. Once the liner comes off, the bottom is yours to keep.
Yes. Email hola@bahiablues.com with your order number and the size you want, and we'll hold it for you while your suit is in transit back. One free exchange per order.
We'll offer an exchange in another style, or store credit you can use whenever you're ready. Collection UNO sizes don't restock once they're gone.
Outbound shipping is on us. Return shipping is on you. We'll send instructions when you start the return.
Anything worn, washed, or with the hygienic liner removed. Anything marked final sale or archive.
Marea is what we call our fabric. A recycled polyester knit, milled in Colombia, spun from post-consumer plastic bottles, and certified by Global Recycled Standard and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. We named it after the tide because that's what it remembers.
Enough that we feel good about it. We're working on the exact number and we'll tell you the second we have it.
Holds its color through chlorine, salt, and sweat. Blocks UV. Dries in minutes. Stretches four ways and snaps back, every time.
Yes. Less crude oil, less water, less energy, lower emissions. And one less plastic bottle in the ocean for every few suits we make.
Milled and sewn in Colombia, by a family-run atelier we've worked with for years. We pay above market rate, and we know everyone who touches a suit by name.
Because we don't want to make more than people will actually wear. Overproduction is the real sustainability problem in fashion, and we'd rather sell out than sit on inventory.
Rinse cold after every wear. Machine wash cold on gentle, in a mesh bag. Lay flat to dry in the shade. No bleach, no fabric softener, no dryer, no wringing.
Yes. Marea is engineered for chlorine and saltwater, and tested for color resistance against both. Just rinse it cold afterward.
Of course. Chlorine resistance is built into the fabric. Rinse after, and your suit will hold its color for years.
Mineral sunscreens are gentlest. Chemical sunscreens with avobenzone can leave a faint yellow tint that's tough to reverse. Rinse fast if it happens.
Years. Marea is built for the long game: chlorine-resistant, UV-protective, quick-drying, and made to hold its color and shape through season after season. Treat it well and it'll outlast every fast-fashion suit in your drawer.
No. UNO is the first chapter, and once it's gone it stays gone. New collections drop on their own rhythm, with new colors, new cuts, new conversations.
