Our Story

I had 50 swimsuits in my drawer.

No joke. And one day I just thought, I could make these myself. Better. With intention. So I called our Chief Operating Officer, Maria, in Colombia. Then pulled in our Creative Director, Caroline, and we got to work.

Three women. Two countries. One very loud group chat.

Maria oversees every piece of production in Colombia, where the artisans are genuinely incredible and the craft is in the culture. Caroline shaped what you see: the logo, the fonts, the colors, the feel of Collection UNO. And I run the brand from Austin with 50 retired swimsuits and a lot of opinions about quality.

The suits are handmade by artisans in Colombia. The fabrics are recycled. The bag your suit arrives in was hand-sewn by Autumn Wright, a textile artisan in Texas. We try to do right by every step of the process and when we can't yet, we say so instead of pretending.

Ethical fashion is hard. Recycled boxes cost $12 a pop. We're a small brand. We're figuring it out in real time and we're not going to lie to you about it.

What we know for sure: the suits are incredible. Classic. They hold you in, they last forever, and they will absolutely outlive whatever is trending this summer.

We made them for the woman who needs to slow down. The one who hustles hard and doesn't stop until she's at the water. This is her suit.

Bahía Blues. Swimwear for slowing down.
